What is the esimoa VPN?
It routes your phone’s internet traffic through an esimoa VPN server. You need Wi-Fi or mobile data first; the VPN does not replace a data plan.
Changing the connection country does not guarantee access to banking, payment or streaming services. Services may block VPN connections or require extra verification.
Connect in the esimoa app for iOS or Android. VPN connections are not supported on the website.

How to Connect
- Install and sign in — install the esimoa app and sign in with the account you used to buy the eSIM.
- Activate your eSIM — activate the eSIM when you arrive at your destination.
- Open the VPN tab — tap the VPN tab at the bottom. The first time, a VPN notice appears; read it and tap the button to agree and start.
- Choose a server country — pick the server country to connect to. Korea is selected by default.
- Connect — tap the large button in the middle. When your phone asks to add a VPN configuration, tap Allow.
- Check the status — you're done when the status shows Connected. If you're eligible for the free VPN, the top of the screen says so.
To disconnect, tap the same button again and choose Disconnect.
Good to Know
- You can't connect to a server in the country you're currently in. For example, you can't connect to a Korean server while you're in Korea.
- If you aren't eligible for the free VPN, the app asks whether to use a 1-day pass for 1,000 credits when you connect.
- The VPN runs in one-day periods and renews automatically while you keep it on in the app. If you're paying with credits, each renewal deducts another 1,000 credits, and the connection ends if your balance runs short.
- If you denied the VPN permission, allow it in your phone's Settings.
- The VPN works only on a real phone, and VPN use may be restricted in some countries.
- An eSIM whose free VPN has been used can't be refunded.
