Q. When should I install the eSIM?

Install 24 hours before departure and activate after arrival. Some plans activate immediately on purchase — check the plan's fine print on the plans page.

Q. Can I use it alongside my Korean SIM?

Yes. Most dual-SIM phones run eSIM and physical SIM simultaneously. The common setup: data on eSIM, voice/SMS on the Korean SIM.

Q. Can I install during the flight?

Installation needs Wi-Fi or data, so airplane mode blocks it. Install before takeoff or after landing on airport Wi-Fi.

Q. I didn't receive the QR code.

Check your spam folder and the esimoa My Data page. If still missing, contact support with your order number.

Q. How many times can I scan the QR code?

Most eSIMs activate only once. If install fails, don't just delete and retry — check troubleshooting first.

Q. Can I transfer the eSIM to another device?

Generally no. If you need to switch devices, contact support — some cases allow paid re-issuance.

During Use

Q. Can I top up after running out of data?

Depends on the plan. Look for the "Top-up supported" tag on the plans page. Non-top-up plans require buying a new eSIM.

Q. Does hotspot / tethering work?

Most plans support it, but some restrict hotspot or charge extra. Check the "Hotspot supported" tag on the plans page.

Q. The "unlimited" plan slows down.

"Unlimited" usually means speed throttling after a fair-use cap (FUP). Check the exact policy on the plans page.

Payment / Refund

Q. How do refunds work?

Before installation: refundable. Once activated by scanning the QR, refunds are generally not available. See the refund policy.

Q. What currency am I billed in?

esimoa always bills in KRW (Korean Won). Display currency can be switched to USD etc. for browsing, but payment is processed in KRW.
