Frecciargento (FA): second-tier high-speed train, cheaper than Frecciarossa.
Frecciabianca (FB): a high-speed train operating on select routes.
Intercity (IC): long-distance service between regions.
Regionale (R): local slow trains within a region — cheap but slow.
Mobile ticket: saved in the app and synced with Apple Wallet/Google Wallet, board with a QR code.
Payment: supports Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Super Economy: the cheapest early-bird fare — no cancellations or changes, but a low price.

💡 Tip: Trenitalia's Super Economy tickets cannot be cancelled, refunded, or changed. 2. Taxi

FREE NOW

Hail an officially licensed taxi in Rome, Milan, Florence, Naples, Turin, Bologna, and other major Italian cities. Official Italian taxis are white (or yellow) with a standard metered fare, and calling one through FREE NOW removes any risk of being overcharged.

Official Italian taxis: legally regulated metered fares, pay through the app or with cash.

Uber

Due to Italian regulation, Uber operates only as Uber Taxi (connecting to official taxis). Regular UberX (private drivers) is illegal in Italy. Uber Taxi connects you with the same official metered taxis as FREE NOW — pick whichever app's interface you prefer.

Rome and Milan: Uber Taxi is the primary service offered.
Note: "Uber Black" (premium vehicles) can operate in Italy with properly licensed drivers.

Google Maps
