Other AI apps#

Grok, Perplexity, Le Chat, Manus, Genspark, Cursor, VS Code and Microsoft Copilot Studio can all add a remote MCP server: add a custom connector with the URL above and choose no authentication. Clients that only run local (stdio) servers can use mcp-remote:

Protocol#

Send JSON-RPC 2.0 over POST. Each request is handled independently — no session needed.

Supported methods are initialize, ping, tools/list, tools/call, resources/list and resources/read for protocol versions 2024-11-05 to 2025-11-25, and server/discover for clients on 2026-07-28 (stateless, with MCP-Protocol-Version and Mcp-Method headers). No SSE stream is opened, so GET returns 405.
